ITALIAN PALESTINIAN COOPERATION

Italy has a very long experience both as one of the foremost donor countries in the Palestinian Territories and as a long time supporter in providing assistance to the Palestinian people.

The Italian Cooperation, whose commitment in field covers 20 years work, has been adapting its strategies within an unstable geo-political context. It has been engaged in diversifying its support to the Palestinian people by matching the need of responding to atypical emergency situations, with the necessity of promoting a sustainable development, adopting proper operational approaches, suitable executing methodologies and accurate selection of the objectives.

The Consulate General of Italy, through the Italian Cooperation Office in Jerusalem (Technical Local Unit), is in charge of carrying out cooperation programs within the Palestinian Territories. The interventions accomplished throughout the years reflect the Italian leading role in international aids for development, in the Palestinian Territories and in the Middle East in general.
